Aloe vera plants, particularly aloe barbadensis miller plants, have been used for centuries to help burns, cuts, and other skin ailments. Perhaps your grandparents always had one of these unique, cactus-like plants nearby, just in case of an emergency. If someone got a cut or burn, they would break an aloe leaf apart to extract gel from inside the leaf. The aloe gel inside the leaf is used as a natural healing salve.

With the onset of commercialism and the recent boom in all-natural products, aloe has become the ingredient of choice in many skin care and health products. Commercial aloe products include everything from creams to lotions to nutritional supplements in pill or drink form. The products often combine aloe gel with other ingredients to enhance the gel’s natural healing components. For example, an aloe-based Hawaiian product, called AhVahleen, combines aloe with some natural extracts taken from organic honey and a Hawaiian Kalo herbal plant.

Natural Aloe-Based Solutions for Skin Care and Health

Aloe gel, especially when combined with other natural ingredients, can greatly enhance the skin and its ability to replenish skin cells. As skin cells die, new skin cells must replace the old to promote healthy skin. This also slows the aging process and helps keep the skin moist and beautiful. Aloe creams and gels on the market can help enhance this process. There are also creams and gels to help with itching, burns, cuts, psoriasis, shingles, and other skin conditions.

Aloe vera gel is also known to have antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, which allow skin ailments to heal while reducing risk of infection. Some aloe-based products are said to help soothe and dry up chicken pox as well. Aloe gel can work as a natural anesthesia to reduce or alleviate pain caused by burns, cuts, and skin rashes. For severe sunburn and/or sun poison, aloe vera gel can cool the burning skin and speed up the healing process.

How to Buy Natural Aloe Products

Besides growing your own aloe vera plants, the next best thing is to buy natural aloe-based products. But before buying, be sure the products are all natural with few or no added ingredients that could decrease the aloe’s beneficial properties. Read the ingredients on each product and learn why the ingredients were added. You’ll find some products, such as AhVahleen, to have added natural ingredients to enhance the product’s skin care and health properties. These products often provide more benefits than even the actual aloe plant alone.

Shop online to find aloe-based products that are unique to your skin care and health needs. If you have psoriasis, for instance, look for creams, gels, or lotions to soothe this condition in particular. If you work in the sun or are outdoors a great deal, look for aloe products that can protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. If you have multiple needs for aloe, find a natural aloe product that offers many benefits in one. Start enjoying natural skin care and health today with the wonderful natural solution of aloe vera!

Acne - 3 Possible Hidden Causes

Posted by pimplegal @ 9:43 am

Acne is a major concern for many people and especially teens as they undergo hormonal changes that affect not only their bodies, but their complexion. Older men and women also may wrestle with acne problems that just won’t respond to various treatments. if you’re wondering if you’re missing something that may be causing your acne problems, consider these three culprits. You may be able to lesson or control outbreaks if you are aware of these possible hidden causes.

1. Natural body oils - The epidermis usually has a supply of fat that destroys bacteria that often causes acne on the skin. It also lessens skin inflammation and assists in keeping pores clear. Those who develop annoying cases of acne may not have sufficient natural oils and may need to purchase a skin supplement to add important oils to the skin. Look for a facial product list that includes phytosphingosine.

2. Dairy products - if you’re not sure whether or not your acne may be triggered by dairy products, try giving up all milk, ice cream, yogurt and cheese for a few months. Dairy products contain the same hormones that produce oil in humans. It is dermatologically suggested that eating dairy food can trigger episodes of acne. Be sure to replace the lost calcium with supplements.

3. Makeup that contains talc powder - Talc powder has small crystals that tend to stop up pores. So it’s best to look for makeup that does not contain talc. There are several on the market that notify consumers that the product is talc-free.

If you’re one of the many acne sufferers who is searching for the reason behind breakouts, you may want to consider trying these simple tips that are suggested by dermatologists. Acne can have many causes for various people, but these may be three hidden causes of which many sufferers are not aware.

Best Way To Remove Blackheads

Posted by Fred Martimes @ 8:08 am

Blackheads are often a sign that an outbreak of acne is coming your way. For this reason, it’s critical that you take the steps to get rid of them beofore they really become a big problem.

That’s why I’m going to give you a full strategy which has worked many times before to help many people get rid of blackheads. This way, you should avoid getting acne altogether by stopping it before it begins.

Begin by washing your hands really well with hot water and soap. Then you’ll need to start to wash your face and clean out your pores. You should try to get as much oil off your face as you can and wash thoroughly for a good few minutes. Then follow this up by cleansing your face with a good cleanser lotion.

Next, you should use a clay mask to place on the face. But make sure that it doesn’t contain stuff like mint and peppermint because this can react badly with your blackheads. What this does is gets rid of all the excess oil which you most likely have on your face. Once you’ve had it on there for a while, take it off and use oil absorbing tissue to clean and dry your face.

Once you have done this, you are safe for a little while. Your skin will not have all the oil on it so your pores will be cleansed and allow the flow of things to work as they should. But no you need to make sure that you prevent this from happening again. So go and see your dermatologist and ask about a vitamin supplement for ensuring that you have healthy skin.

Hopefully, if you follow the clay mask strategy, you should basically be able to get rid of your blackheads. If not, you can always do some other tactics to help get rid of them. Like you can use hot steam by standing over a basin and then by applying exfoliant you can help remove them. But first give the clay mask idea a try because that will usually do the trick.

Check this out to find out about how to get rid of blackheads.
